Community Tasting Note

Sunday, June 28, 2020 - Medium gold color. On the nose, apple skins, bruised apple flesh, caramel, cinnamon, brown sugar, and some autolytic yeastiness. Not earth-shattering, but suggestive of a perfectly passable bubbly. And on the palate, it follows through on that promise. It's on the rich side—they weren't shy with the dosage—but it has a nice energetic mousse to lighten it up a bit, and all of the same notes from the nose come through without any off-putting flavors or structural issues. It's simple and straightforward, but very enjoyable, and a respectable traditional-method sparking wine, which makes it outstanding value for the price.
