Saturday, July 18, 2020 - From the Northern Margaret Rive region. Elegant, restrained and beautifully balanced. In style, more like a Bordeaux than most New World Cabs. I enjoyed this wine as much as any Vasse Felix that I have had. Dark ruby with still much purple. The wine is drinking beautifully now, but I think that it has a few years to its peak. Powerful aromatic, complex nose with black raspberry and blueberries, plum and nicely integrated oak. A mouthful of wine with medium + acidity that carries a delicious hint of bitterness right through the extended finish. Great with food and great fun to sip by itself.
