Thursday, July 23, 2020 - Brilliant, translucent, gem-like, magenta in the glass, with a slight tint of amber near the rim. Fully present and alive, with tart, ripe fruit, and a certain electricity. Profoundly burgundian. Great value, and great with food. 92/93.

Would also work well with pates, duck rillettes, roasted or rotisserie chicken, or a simple grilled leaner-cut steak, such as hanger steak. But most notably, it is one red wine that is an ideal match with a lot of cheeses, including soft cows-milk cheese (Camembert, brie, black truffle brie), Comte, aged Gouda.
