Tuesday, September 1, 2020 - Cork came out intact, soaked about 1/3 up, perfect ullage. Quick decant and then back into bottle to be served with dinner. This wine smells like you want all Bordeaux this age to smell. Dry cherries, cassis and a bit of forest floor. Palate follows with some leather and a bit of coffee thrown in. Tannins fully resolved with a still noticeable spine of acidity and iron and a bit of tartness on the finish. Maybe over the hill a bit, but still a pleasure.
