Wednesday, September 23, 2020 - Brouwerij de Molen, Sally & Swain, Bowmore Barrel Aged, 22.7 Deg Plato, EBC 209, EBU 100, BA Imperial Stout-ish, Unpasteurized, Drink at 10 DegC, 12%.
Ingr.: water, barley malts (pils, brown, crystal 100, caramel, chocolate, mild, roasted munchener), malts (wheat), flaked oats, bitter hops (apollo, zeus), top fermenting yeast (so, hurrah, no sugars !; I tasted it without knowing this !).
Bottled on / Lotto: 04-12-17
BBE: 04-12-27
EAN: 8717624420832
Stout Imperial / Double
TN, at 7.5 DegC:
Yummy, not too sweet at this temperature, balance, a bid of complexity and some length.
At higher temp.:
Still not too sweet, especially many good, mainly hop, bitters.
At 22 DegC:
Still not too sweet (for me), sweetness is well integrated, but at this temperature somewhat harsh bitters, but De Molen advises it to drink at 10 DegC (I tasted it without knowing this; I always taste blind).
S=88 R=8(5) 9/23/20 M=now-2025(+), but I do not think it will improve.
