Thursday, October 15, 2020 - Pours light ruby, a faint hint of cloudyness. Totally transparent yet flecks of dark red. The nose on initial pop was tightly wound and reduced. As I followed over 24 hours it improved quite a lot. I still think this could use a little age to come together. The nose wafts red cherry, dark cherry, beetroot, dried orange peel, cooked cabbage, apple peel, and dry dusty soil. The palate has an herbal and vaguely spicy impression. The acidity is medium plus and has a vaguely malic impression (quite tart) with low dusty tannin. Quite a nice wine overall that id likely call Bourgogne or villages level burgundy blind.
