Sunday, December 18, 2005 - Sniffing this doesn't reveal much of anything, but some of the characteristics that typically manifest themselves in the aroma of Lafite have amalgamated into the flavors here. Mild cigar-box flavors complement delicate fruit encompassing cherries and apples. The theme here is delicacy as the first immediate sensation on tasting is the buttery-smooth texture. The tannin becomes more assertive with air, but so does the tobacco; the first sip was the most fine, but I think the last sip was best. :(
