Vinsboro Does not like this wine:
Friday, November 6, 2020 - Chez Genèse/Compass Virtual Tasting (Home, Greensboro, NC): Dark purple-red. Vanilla bomb nose. Hot. Sweet and viscous in the mouth, with background baking spice.
Editorial: Definitely the house style if you know Rombauer's Chardonnay. It has its fans and place, but just doesn't appeal to me. I originally scored this 80, but removed the score because the wine tastes exactly like the winemaker and Rombauer's customers want it to taste. Not my thing, but it may be yours and there's no harm in that!
