Thursday, December 4, 2008 - Very very good rioja had at the monthly wine tasting at the Hickory Wine Shoppe earlier tonight with Kim and good friend neighborbill. Excellent QPR at this price point and highly recommend this wine. Subtle nose which really opened up expressively in the glass with aeration thus this wine would probably significantly benefit from decanting. Great mouth feel, very well balanced and no off tones. Strong dark stone fruit flavors balanced by tobacco, coffee and leather.
