Tuesday, November 24, 2020 - Decanted two hours.
Massively aromatic as a whole. Brooding aromas of dark smokey plums, savory roasted meat, anise and lots of white and gray pepper. There is just so much fruit on the front end - holy cow this is a big boy.
For such a beast on the nose, the palate has a surprising amount of balance - though absolutely full bodied.
There is some freshness and enough acid to make this more enjoyable than the alcohol content would let on. Very nice.
