Sunday, December 20, 2020 - Cellared since release. 5th of 6. So lets be clear this is a consistent producer from a very poor vintage. Last note was 2017 declaring this a awkward and disjointed wine. I thought it was time to see if it could cure itself, the answer is no....but....lets say what it is.....deep garnet, classic cassis, both red and black fruit, sweet leather, a bit of green on the nose. Med tannins, with acid ruling the day on the palate. Served with lamb and complemented well. Look this is 2007 and in that light it probably exceeds expectations. Complemented meal adequately. This will not get better. I am not surprised. In many ways shows what a good producer can do in a bad vintage. My last bottle will find a steak in the next two months, and I will be satisfied. I can not imagine this wine being in any way pleasant in another 2 years. Enjoy today for what it is....drink now. BTW if you do not like Bordeaux a 87/88 rating will be seen as high...I just love Bordeaux and lamb.
