2019 Roger Sabon Côtes du Rhône

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Monday, January 11, 2021 - Not super aromatic on the nose — some crushed rock and a bit of herbs, the fruit is underneath. The palate has a fair amount of density and tightly spooled dark fruit and subtle herbs — it’s pretty big and dense. Ripe tannins and acid that keeps the alc feeling in check.

Funny to say it’s too soon to drink a CdR, but this feels too young and primary to drink now, would like to see where it goes. Feels like the intensity and structure is there for further development.

12/10/2021 11:55:00 AM - Thanks for the solid TN. I haven't had this yet. As of now there's not Community drinking window in CT, but based on your note I'm setting mine (first community contribution) to 2022 - 2026.
