Sunday, January 24, 2021 - Perfect cork. Good, deep colour, browning at the edges. Good St. Estèphe typicity on the nose, with a reasonable amount of fruit and some notes of coal-tar. On the palate it's of medium weight and a bit austere, but there's quite a lot there and the finish was attractive.
I bought a dozen of these on release, and drank most of them about ten years ago. They were OK but a bit clunky, so I was pleasantly surprised by this bottle.
