Wednesday, January 27, 2021 - Spicy nose initially. Herbal among roasty fruits. Roasted red fruits on the palate reminiscent of some more reserved Grenache wines from Languedoc, S Rhone or parts of Spain. A touch of sweetness towards the finish. Medium tannin but in that way much more than you get most Grenache based wines from here on the W Coast. Bright acidity but you have to pay attention for it somewhat as the bitterness of the fruit bites as it hits. Nice with dinner now given the acid/tannin combo. Could improve if the fruit opens a bit more in the next couple years.
