Thursday, February 4, 2021 - Wow oh wow. Absolutely superb. Double decant, one hour. Nose insane, wild evocative, thrilling mind filling. On both Nose and palette were cassis, mineral, fresh cedar, forest floor, but also Asian spices, a little gunpowder and some sort of pixie dust. Very responsive to food and temperature - in a negative way. Basically couldn’t pair it with anything as despite being rich and glorious it was acutely independent and refused to tango with anything other than the blandest protein. A solo act, encore!
