Sunday, February 28, 2021 - Cant believe how alive this wine still is! Opened alongside a 2010 Drouhin Mouches and several of us agreed it was the better of the two! Cork was perfect and the wine was basically PnP, then followed in the glass over about two hours and it continued to hold up well with air. Plenty of sous bois but also still a brightness underlying it that lent it life and helped it pair really well with duck confit. a well stored bottle of 81 may still have some life but open this up and enjoy!
