Monday, March 8, 2021 - From magnum. Dark ruby-garnet core; opaque. Plum, licorice and oak on the nose — very fruit-forward and primary. Full-bodied and essentially dry, with balanced acidity and plenty of soft tannins, not fully resolved (there was some sediment in the bottle, but not a whole lot). Blueberry, plum, dark chocolate, espresso and something distinctly umami (soy?) on the palate. Lush and opulent, with more than enough fruit to stand up to the oak. Drinking well, and seems to have plenty of life left.
