Saturday, March 13, 2021 - Screened into a decanter and poured from decanter over time. Screening or filtering is highly recommended with this wine as there was significant sediment clumped on the sides and bottom of the bottle and caught by the screen. The wine has a beguiling nose with highlights of mint, cherry sauce, and tobacco. The mouthfeel is smooth and medium weight with a mix of red and black fruits and a touch of forest. The medium-length finish ties everything up nicely. Overall, this is a poised and very enjoyable wine. It’s in great shape and probably at or near peak. This has been a terrific wine to enjoy over the past decade or so. 92 points.
