Wednesday, March 31, 2021 - Medium ruby with a little browning on the rim. Sour cherries, blackberries, pepper, vanilla, leather and hints of forrest floor on the nose. High acidity and tannins. Secondary flavours are more pronounced on the palette. Medium length finish. Can use more aging due to the astringent nature of the tannins. A noticeable dose of alcohol on the nose and palette. Except for the fruit, the wine became more expressive on the second day. There is a reduction of its fruity characteristic as well. Would give this another 3 years. A standard rioja reserva that will go better with food.

4/5/2021 3:33:00 PM - Clearly in the "dumb phase" and will improve with age. Wouldn't touch this until fall 2022 at the earliest....we'd have a much better experience.
