Monday, December 26, 2005 - (Carmel; roasted chicken) Opens quite fruity and primary, with a good dose of tannin, acid, and oak. An hour later, the fruit is a bit more complex but less tasty, the acid is less prominent, and the tannins are a bit more ferocious. I never really warmed up to this wine, even with food, and I'm less than overly optimistic than before about where it might be headed. Right now, it just seems like a bit of a jumbled mess.
