Wednesday, December 31, 2008 - This is not a memorable vintage for Lafite. Can't hold a candle to the 82 we had on Saturday, January 10th. I have had the misfortune to have poor experience w Lafite: 1961 drunk prematurely in 1970 w a client, Gerry Office, in NYC; 1978 at Azul w Richard Spring perhaps 5 years ago, barnyard was excessive; and the 99 which is unexceptional.
