2011 Dehlinger Pinot Noir Altamont

Saturday, June 19, 2021 - The wine is still quite dark purple with a nice bouquet of floral, herb, and forest red fruit. Baking spices also emerge for more intrigue.

It took a couple hours to come together, but finally the cedar oak blended nicely with the red fruit and garden herb flavors. Finish is medium long and silky, although there is a slight bell pepper note on the back end.

Certainly in the mature zone, but this bottle showed no signs of being over the hill any time soon. Decant recommended, drink now- 2025.
