95 Points

Tuesday, June 22, 2021 - Quietly beautiful. Peaches, lemon, almonds, apples, cantaloupe, honeydew, rich caramel, a faint hint of tangerine near the end of the gorgeous long aftertaste. Peaceful and wonderful. About the level of sweetness you'd expect in a California Chardonnay. Should stay lovely for at least six years, probably much longer. (This exact same wine is also listed in CellarTracker as "1997 Nigl Riesling Kremser Kremsleiten"--yes, the exact same wine. The label actually says "Urgesteins-Riesling", not just "Riesling", so if you have that, this is that too. I'm putting this tasting note in both places.)
