Sunday, January 18, 2009 - I struggle again with Pax. Perhaps I drink them too early, but I'm like 0 for 5 with them in the past couple years. First night this was a mess...like doing Minderaser shots. Anyone remember mind erasers...Vodka and Chambord...not a taste I look for in my $50 Syrah. Too much, too ripe, too much alcohol. Night two, wine has softened considerably, but there's a lack of acidity that leaves me with a mouthful of drippy dark fruit that feels flabby and toasted. I can see how this has a market, but it is not my cup of tea.
