Sunday, June 27, 2021 - This just crushed an 06 Pol Roger SWC with its depth and interest. I know these wines are not enjoyed ubiquitously but it’s not like they are WAY off the beaten path. Balanced acidity with apple notes and brioche. Comes across my palate as a clean, suave wine with layers of fruit and nuance. This bottle was a 17 DG and well worth its tariff.
