Saturday, January 17, 2009 - Lynch Bages Tasting (Don's House): This bottle was decanted about 3 hours before it was tasted. Beautiful wine and my second place WOTN. Definitely the most aromatic of the wines tasted with an explosive nose of cassis and dark fruit. Like the '89 this wine continued to develop and improve over the course of the evening. Delicious layers of earth, spice and fruit with excellent balance and the backbone to go more years.
