Saturday, September 26, 2015 - Saturday Evening with Robin (Sutherland Farm): 2nd Bottle: Mid golden, again some development but more engaging with button mushroom, yellow peach and smear of honey. Slightly subdue on the entry but has a gorgeous oatmeal breadth to the mid-palate and textural richness typical of 2009. All this is balanced beautifully by an incisive acidity that gives tension to the mid-palate. Flavours of lemon, walnut and cling peach join spice and toast from oak, adding complexity. There is a racy acid focus yet curves to the wine, although the length was medium rather than long.
