Wednesday, August 18, 2021 - Blinded, one of my colleagues thought it might be an old CDP, an excellent observation. At this point in its life it is very French, with ample plum and violets, vanilla and baking spice. Silky tannins with a lingering finish, it held up very well after >two hours in the decanter. Unlikely to get better but by no means is this ok the decline, it should drink very well over the next five to ten years. An absolute joy, and why we own cellars.
