Tuesday, October 5, 2021 - Wow, this did surprise me and it opened up several hours after the tasting! Lots of smoke/bonfire, cooked meats with leather and sous bois alongside higher register fruit that allows the development to show itself perfectly. Well-preserved bottle and like the Caillerets Cuvee Carnot, this showing nowhere in a hurry. Such aromatic delineated and terroir transparency in both of these wines! Picture-perfect Burgundy at this evolutionary stage. 93-94.
