Tuesday, October 5, 2021 - Aside from some VA, this had a wonderful combination of citrus tension vs. dried red cherry/currant type fruit that creates a seductive, deep impression to the fruit. Soil, Worcestershire, smoke/incense provides lift makes for an elegant, less rustic rendition of Beaune. Spicy texture on the way to the finish. More sous bois complexity takes form with extended air time. Lovely stuff and this was perhaps the most extroverted, unique and stylish of the Bouchard wines at the tasting. Compelling stuff.
