Tuesday, September 28, 2021 - Wow, black cherry bomb and tasting really good right now !!
Enjoyed with friends at dinner. Perfect cork, easily removed with the Durant after two decades in the bottle. This balanced wine opened up quickly. Dark red color with no to no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of tart cherry, pomegranate, and rhubarb. Flavors of black cherry cola, raspberry framboise, and leather. This Syrah has a beautifully long finish. A balanced and flavorful Syrah from Shenandoah Valley of Amador County. I think that this age worthy wine has more years of life remaining. Fortunately, I still have one bottle of this vintage to validate my assessment. A great fruit source and another great winemaking effort by Bill Easton.
