Wednesday, October 27, 2021 - Pale Ruby

Nose: Cool crushed blueberry, sweet nutmeg, cherry puree, crushed rock.

Mouth: Lightly savory blueberry and cherry flavors are pure and driven on a silken frame as dark nutmeg, bitter wet leaves, and rose stem add a streak of tension through the midpalate. Ends on a decidedly mineral note, as crushed granite takes the finish and light echoes of the fruit bounce along after.

Mouth: One of the most best things about Evening Land is that they consistently make wines that scale on the palate over time: building up layers of flavor on a supple frame as they interact with each other. This is a brilliant example, showing Burgundian palate action with An Oregonian flavor profile. A wine of contemplation. Drink now - 2028.
