Friday, February 6, 2009 - Dark red color and a firm nose of ripe dark fruit, some wandering spice and a touch of pepper, with a little chocolate underneath. Almost a "bam" on the entry which did settle with time, as did the whole palate structure which did stay firm with a tight grip at mid palate...with abundant fruit...strong edge that did loosen a bit. This needs some time to develop after opening. Went well with a variety of grilled meats and sausages...actually perfect pairing for the rich grilled meats.
