Friday, September 12, 2014 - Four years ago, I wrote that this wine is “Still tight with tannins tugging on the palate, it nevertheless shows ... forest floor, mushroom earthiness, cherry and mineral....” Add to that a touch of cola. This wine is still tight with the nose giving up much more bouquet than the palate reflects its profile. This could use about 5 more years. While vastly outclassed by Charlie’s Guillon, it shows what pretty, if somewhat simpler reds, Sancerre producers can make. 13% alc. With beefsteak at The Shack with the Chadwicks. Recommended.
