Nose of cherries and raisins, and a m the palate has structure and acidity to balance the 15.5% alcohol, and some remaining tannins still. Nice long finish. Would pair really well with aged cheeses, like Parmigiano-Reggiano or aged Gouda. Have had some disappointing Amarones at this price point ($40) but would buy this again.
