Sunday, December 19, 2021 - 8 hrs decant. Deep ruby color. Still very youthful - bright and mot nearly as sweet as I would have expected. Heavier on the plum and maybe cassis flavors than the sugar and spice, although it has that as well. Penetrating and grippy. Fantastic now, decades ahead of it.

Day 2: Putting on a little bit of weight. Still quite a bit of fire and backbone. However the sweet side is coming out a little more: beginnings of Xmas pudding coming out. Oh yeah, this is going to be one of the greats in about 2 decades.

Day 3. Holy crap this is awesome. Everything resolved. Alcohol now under control. Incredibly smooth. Amazingly harmonious. Beautiful balance of plum pudding and strong grip. Wow. This is absolutely what the hype said. It takes three days in a decanter to get this now. This is going to be a legend in… 20 years?

Score : 95 for me for now, but I can totally see why others rated it higher. Higher in a couple of decades or , if you insist now, after at least 2 days in a decanter.
Relative to expectations +++ in the fullness of time.
