Thursday, January 27, 2022 - This rich and silky Cabernet drinks incredibly well for a $50 wine - as others have noted, this is a genuine value in the Napa neighborhood. Dark purple in color; full in body, aromas of black cherry, dark chocolate, and graphite. Flavors of blackberry, mocha, and anise, with a spicy and compact finish. This avoids the (sometimes cloying) sweetness TRB wines can have in their youth, and it reflects the purity and lift that the 2019 vintage seems to have in the early going. 14.5% alcohol. 92-93 at the moment, but no rush on drinking.
