Saturday, January 29, 2022 - This is interesting stuff; first dry malvasia; the nose was certainly interesting with some dried citrus notes, smoke, a slight funk that I couldn't quite put my finger on, some definite oxidative notes. The palate was still actually pretty fresh and again quite intriguing if not necessarily pure pleasure; smoky, funky, wild, with some citrus pith and crushed nuts, a bit of minerality. It grew on me, but didn't necessarily make me want tons more in the cellar.
