Friday, February 4, 2022 - Nice colour, beginning to show some brick. Nose is lovely, pure bordeaux with lots of earth, currant, dark cherry, fragrant but not super intense. Palate is medium bodied, very nicely balanced, sweetish earthy currant and black cherry fruit, medium tannins, good acidity, soft enough and drinking well right upon opening. Will give some air before dinner, but does not appear that needs a serious decant. First impressions are that this is a really solid showing, fragrant, yet sturdy, quite powerful and balanced. Excellent.

After two hours in the bottle - all the notes above were confirmed - excellent wine. Rest tomorrow.
