90 Points

Thursday, February 26, 2009 - Original straw color has turned to a bright yellow gold, a little cloudy due to the absence of fining. This wine has really aged well and i am glad i saved this one bottle. The nose is tropical fruit, yeast, honey, vanilla and hazelnut. The toasty oak is still there but in the background with vanilla coming forward layered with pear, orange and nutmeg. This is a full bodied voluptuous chardonnay with intensity, complexity and richness. Good mineral notes come out with the long finish. I originally rate at 87 but time in the bottle moves it out of the 80's.
