Saturday, November 21, 2020 - This 33 year old bottle has aged wonderfully. Popped n’ poured, no decant. The nose smells like dried cranberries or plums with a hint of vegetation, which is expected for something this old. The palate tho... super lively and acidic. Perfectly resolved tannins; bright cherry, lingering oak influence, a hint of blackberry. Pairs well with prime rib, but I think it’d be better with a good Paella Valenciana. It’s definitely at the end of its drinking window, but a pleasant experience nonetheless.
