Saturday, February 28, 2009 - Very young and tight. What a classy wine. It's very elegant yet also hedonistic. The aromas constantly evolve. Nice nose of tobacco, smoke, basil & sage, vanilla, cassis, cooked plum, rose pettles, forrest floor, swamp and cedar. Great structure with lots of not overly ripe fruit to back it up. Spicy on the palate. Nice cinamin, eucalyptus, pepper, chocolate,and black fruit. Great now, but should really evolve with more age. Give this wine 3 hours to decant.
