Saturday, February 19, 2022 - Mature but holding on. Burgundian. Muted and mottled nose. But still alluring. Old spices, your little league leather glove, some soil and mushrooms on palate, but still a nice zest of acidity and lingering fruit. I meant to Coravin for a wee glass or two with lunch, but the cork popped up a bit and was forced to open the bottle around noon while the rest of family is a few hours away visiting family - woe is me! Enjoying the afternoon session drinking this bottle. Going to make some duck with a blueberry port sauce to meet it on the tail end.
