Does not like this wine:

Wednesday, April 20, 2022 - This bottle was definitely different than the first one I gave bad marks to. This second one definitely had more structure to it but the marriage of tannins and acid on the finish was really bad, deserving of a divorce. It wasn't like a strong, "this is a food wine", or "just needs a little more air" type of finish. I love those wines! It just tasted bad. On tasting it the next day, it tasted great on the first sip, and then the finish instantly became insipid after that. This bottle was all over the place for me. Maybe I got unlucky and had two "off" bottles. Perhaps. I've had more than one inconsistent 2016 Borsao Berola, and whined about it on this website too, but the Borsao is much less costly compared to the Caterwaul. At over $50 for a bottle, I expect a minimum bar of consistency which has not been met for the 2019 Caterwaul bottling.
Napa Cabs are my favorite, but I had a 2015 Caiarossa IGT the same week as the dud reviewed above and that I thought, is how good structure is supposed to taste.

5/4/2022 3:30:00 PM - I have had a few "WTF" experience with Caterwaul lately. I previously drank six 2017s in as many months, and everyone was lush and rich, beginning to end. Last 2 or 2 2018s, have been similar to your experience - tannic, unbalanced, or one good sip then flat.
