Sunday, July 31, 2022 - Anyone making a Syrah, Petit Syrah and Grenache blend in California deserves respect. I would not call this a cult wine, save maybe for the etiquettes (labels). Too much alcohol, though some minerals still shine through. A really strong wine, but falls short on character. Good, not great. NOTE: after a 3 hour decant, the alcohol is less jumpy. Otherwise, not much improved.
