Tuesday, May 17, 2011 - La Confrerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin (Vancouver) (Diva at The Met): Medium ruby red core with just a hint of bricking at the rim. Brighter nose of ripe red fruits and hints of nectarine (yes I know weird but it was quite obvious to me). There is a noticeable difference between this wine and the other two Engel VRs. Low acidity, ripe and very fruit forward. This is could pass for a Californian pinot. It’s a tasty wine that has the delicious factor, but lacks complexity and typicity and it isn’t my favourite style of pinot. Not quite sure how this will age but I wouldn’t wait too long. Good.
