Saturday, August 7, 2010 - Dark ruby. Stewed cherry compote nose, with some hints of bay, mint, shellac. Medium body, round acids, tannin stiffening with air, but not without reward in the flavors, which mirror the nose. A bit foursquare but with good intensity. Nicer tonight than the '87 and that's for the first time. Bottle #3 of three.
