Friday, April 4, 2014 - Light red slightly turbid. The smokiest nose I've ever smelled in a Jadot wine, to the point of bringing bacony Cote Roties to mind. Light to medium weight, dark red fruit, high acidity that is not completely in harmony, brambly finish with some astringency. This was a lot of fun to smell and had some nice qualities in the mouth, but the balance is not quite there and I can only see it losing its current appeal as the fruit dries leaving only the acid and wood behind.
