Wednesday, June 15, 2016 - At Chateau Davyd. Tasted blind. pop and poured.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, garnet colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of soy sauce, roasted coffee beans, burnt/scorched black fruit, stewed cherries. Developed.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol, medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of roasted coffee beans, sweet baked black cherry jam, soy sauce. Medium+ finish.
A bit over the hill already. Did not really enjoy the stewed fruit character. May have been more enjoyable few years' ago.
