Saturday, January 2, 2021 - Pretty funky nose - dried hay, yeasty dough, musty orange rind, dried figs and honey on the nose. The marc does come through with that play-doh/gasoline smell you get with grappa. Initially light on the palate than expected but as you swirl it in your mouth, it fills with flavors of golden raisins and marzipan. Long, lingering hazelnut finish. I wasn't sure how it would be received with the group and I can see this might not be for everyone but it turned out to be a hit!
